There have been a great deal of questions regarding the Mijac catalog and reports in the press of it moving to Sony/ATV. Below is an email from Co-Executor John Branca to Jeff Jampol, GM of the MJ Online team, clarifying some of what has been publicized through various media outlets.

Brother of famed Brooklyn Dodgers pitcher dies

LOS ANGELES — John R. Branca, brother of famed Brooklyn Dodgers pitcher Ralph Branca and father of prominent entertainment lawyer John Branca, who is co-executor of Michael Jackson's estate, has died, his family said Thursday.

By the way, this blogger is 100,000,000,000% behind John Branca and McClain, affectionately referred to here as "Team Branca" or "The Johns."

Michael's Estate Control

While I am sure it is disappointing to the family that the control, even temporarily, has been given to "The Johns" (Branca and McClain), it was the best thing so far I've seen happen since his death.

Keeping in mind Branca & McClain's involvement in MJ's life over the years, their knowledge of the business as well as (I am sure) the inner workings of his family, will give them the ability to make smart unbiased business deals, keeping Michael's wishes in mind....and without their hand out.

When the announcement was made today that they were given immediate temporary control, I did a happy dance. Finally, someone is listening to what Michael wanted... not what THEY want.

Hope is on the horizon.
