Grammy Awards tonight will be Kleenex box moment

Tonight is shaping up to be, not just an impressive Tribute filled with honor and pride for the man, but moments that will rip our heartstrings right out of our chests.

Prince Michael and Paris Katherine will both attend tonight, escorted by their grandmother, Katherine, and, according to this CNN article, Prince Michael will be reading a prepared statement during the Tribute.  Don't look for them to appear on the Red Carpet however.

Some reports claim that until Mr and Mrs Jackson complained to the Grammys committee last week, no one in the Jackson family had been asked to participate in this Tribute. If that is true, WOW! What a snub Grammys!  Good for Joe and Katherine for raising the roof on this, and for Katherine's approval allowing Prince and Paris to appear not at the smaller Award ceremony, but the actual tribute.  We know their Daddy would be so proud of them!

If you are in the US, race down to get your 3D glasses free at Target TODAY!  You will need them to watch Michael's Earth Song.  While you are there, make sure you stock up on Kleenex too!

The 52nd GRAMMY Awards will take place live on Sunday, Jan. 31 at Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast in HDTV and 5.1 Surround Sound on the CBS Television Network from 8–11:30 p.m. (ET/PT). The show also will be supported on radio via Westwood One worldwide, and covered online at GRAMMY.com and CBS.com, and on YouTube.

Also, if you are on Twitter, include #MichaelJackson and #EarthSong in all your Tweets today.

It is all for love - L.O.V.E. Bless you Prince, Paris, Blanket and the entire Jackson Family. You will always be in our hearts.

We miss you Michael!

PS.  If you know of any other place online that is streaming the event, please leave a comment with the link, if possible, so others outside the US can watch too.

  1. That just gave me chills. I think it's going to be a wonderful tribute to what Michael wanted people to sit up and take notice of. And with the plans to record "We are the World" again on Monday, to help the people in Haiti, I feel things are finally on the right track with putting Michael and his sincere concerns and generous contributions in the proper light. The seeds he planted can live on and on through efforts like this. I have to think that would make him smile, what a gift he gave us, and what a gift he is to us.
