Kraken Opus - Damaged Opus (spine)

UPDATE (June 16th):  Customer still has NOT been contacted for replacement!
UPDATE (July 16th): Customer still has NOT been contacted for replacement!
UPDATE (FEBRUARY 16, 2011):  Customer still has NOT been contacted for replacement!
*end update*
NOTE:  This was not deliberate damage to this person's Opus.  It was more a quality control issue at the manufacturer or aftermath from delivery-- perhaps being dropped several times.  I have (as noted below the pictures) already received a response from Kraken Opus UK about replacement for this customer.  Cali

These pictures were sent to me by a customer who FINALLY got their MJ Opus -- and opened it TWICE.  To top it off, it just had to be one of the books sent to Russia.  (Cali is cussing! @#%(#(%)

I would say this one is approved for a replacement, wouldn't you?

UPDATE (4/26/10):  Customer is being contacted TODAY to arrange replacement.

  1. OMG !...OMG !....this book is a shame !!!...
    Obviously I would said the same:REPLACEMENT--REPLACEMENT !!!!...
One of those sent to Russia!!...again...OMG!
Huge shame on you Kraken UK !!!...( and Im being polite here!)...UGHHHH!!!!

@Cali...hi! dear!...glad you are getting better!

  2. OMG

This one is really horrible! My damage is NOTHING compared to this! How dare they send this book!! There people!

I am ...... now!!! I feel very sorry for the person that recieved this book!

Cali- Glad to see your still with us!

  3. Good morning all my dear sweethearts! Isn't this horrible?

Yes, I am doing ok. Did not do much yesterday at all-- just layed on the couch and watched TV/movies. I turned the computer on for about 10 minutes, then turned it off. Sorry. I was so sleepy and lazy yesterday.

I'm working on emails this morning (right now) and trying to get some more updates from fans on the status of their Opi. Also need to go through the previous long list of customers who I'd been working on to see if they all have theirs. So I'm starting with some of the older emails to the newer... bare with me on replies.

If anyone else has any damage photos they'd like me to post... email them to me (or a link so I can save them and then post).

I will also try today/tomorrow to get to our IACOP page and some more on -- trying to get the business stuff out of the way so I can play again. hehehehe

MUCH L.O.V.E. to all of you!

  4. Oh, no, no,no! I'm speechless. What a nightmare! But actually I must say that I was really afraid when I turned the pages in my Opus because the binding is not good. I fear that it will fall apart if I look through it too often. Shame on them!

  5. Wow. That book is just a mess! Hope they don't have to wait forever for their replacement.

  6. I hurts to see the OPI so damaged... Opus should be ashamed

  7. I also agree the binding isnt very strong- i've seen two books now both are a bit shaky on the binding. i sure wouldnt use my opi often, too scared it will fall apart- whenever i finally get a good book that is maybe christmas this year?

  8. Opus should be ashamed!!!
I hope that the new owner doesn't have to wait long for receive a new one!!
